Quantity over quality

Okay, no story today since there is an important event taking place:
  1. Government and Syria’s allies called for a "1 million person" demonstration.
  2. Lebanon’s capital Beirut will be the place.
  3. Lebanon’s population is around 4 million persons, so one fourth of the population is what the government is expecting to see.
I hope there will be some Lebanese flags to remind us that it is actually a Lebanese demonstration…

For those who forgot what it looks like ...

Well you do have 4 million Lebanese living in Lebanon, but you also have 1 million Syrian workers working here...And I heard today that some Palestinian factions will also participate in this demonstration (Don’t ask me why since it’s a Lebanese matter…) so they'll fill the place of Syrians who will not be able to make it…
Yep my friend… That’s Lebanon we have to live in…

It saddens me to see what is happenning in Lebanon.
As a Lebanese American I hope one day we will see a truly independent and democratic Lebanon.
